Hi, nurse practitioner Amber Phelps was very good with me. She listened to me and listened to what problems I had and she worked with me on my medication and she's very, very good. I mean, her nursing skills are excellent nurse practitioner that she is and I really felt comfortable with her. So she gets a 10 from me. So, okay, thanks. Bye.

Was reassured that I would have no problem getting a pre-op appointment in the near future. I received 2 vaccines and they were administered flawlessly! It went extremely well for a new patient visit.

Good experience, answered my questions adequately, provided a treatment plan and thorough.

Calling to make an appointment is difficult. Being sent to voicemail after three minute hold is frustrating. Being told not use multiple methods to reach out is also frustrating. I did email after not hearing back from my voicemail because I was trying to get a same day sick appointment. The scheduler who called me back scolded me for trying to reach one multiple ways. Other practices (like our pediatrician office) have figured out how to handle high call volumes without it being so complicated and impersonal. The check in process was smooth and practitioners themselves are great and the reason to come back - but getting an actual appointment is what I dread most with this practice.

This wasn't my regular provider but she was very compassionate and explained everything clearly. I felt comfortable and heard.

The only issue was the complete records had not been shared from the previous provider which somewhat hampered this provider from having the complete medical information but my overall opinion was a great, thorough and complete visit and I came away feeling that Amber really cares and I really enjoyed my discussions with her.

I thought that the provider was very nice, and I guess it's just my fault because I know doctors don't know everything, but I really felt like it was just a waste of time. I came in there not knowing what was going on in pain, and I left not knowing what was going on in pain. I don't know. Maybe it's just a hard thing to figure out, but I just felt like I drove 40 minutes away and just felt like it was a waste of time. Like I said, I do realize doctors don't know everything.

I sent a pt portal message on monday saying that I had returned from a cruise and started feeling bad, took a covid test at home and it was positive. I asked if I could get paxlovid called in as well as zithromax. Someone from the front desk called and offered me a THURSDAY appt- I told her that was not helpful since my symptoms had started on Saturday and I would need the paxlovid asap- I said I would just go to expresscare since I couldn't get in! I was then offered a telemedicine appt with Amber. The only problem with that was I had a very hard time with the connection ! So we ended up having a phone conversation instead. The volume was on mute and I could not unmute it on my end.

I always leave the office with a positive attitude and a smile on my face. Amber is a wonderful caring person who has a way of making you feel relaxed and able to discuss any health problems you might be concerned about. She is thorough in asking questions that need to be asked from the last visit and if I have improved. What more could I ask for. She is the best doctor a person could have.

Great practice, sometimes the communication isn't there internally. I don't always seem to get the right answers because my results or med updates aren't done even though we go through them each visit. Sometimes I think the staff is maybe overwhelmed so some attention to the details need to be better. Something simple as calling in prescription to the wrong pharmacy or not calling with lab results. Nothing earth shattering just sometimes frustrating. Amber is great and so is her assistant. Very caring, personable and they take the time to listen and address my issues and not rush me in and out. Literally offering common sense approaches to my issues and concerns. It gives me a lot of comfort and we're all human so my reminding them of something on occasion helps us all. I try to keep them up with my specialists in case they don't get any reports who I've seen so they can help make the best decision for my care and collaborate with them if needed.

Shana and Amber were wonderful, kind, and helpful. We had issues with my paperwork not being sent over and they handled everything so well and we're determined to get the issue resolved. Dr. Wang also sat with us to explain further things needed and helped decide a plan. Overall, the staff handled a stressful situation calmly and in a positive way. It was th first time I had an appointment with Amber. I had a severe fall and hit my head and landed on my shoulder. I had a chest and shoulder Xray at Carroll Hospital. Amber gave me peace of mind on the hit to the head I had because she tested all the symptoms of a concussion and fortunately I had none of them. She also gave me additional insight on my shoulder. Very thorough review and I would definitely recommend her to others. 10++ rating

Another good experience

Hello, I went to see Amber for the second time, but this was for the backache. I saw her last back in November. Amber was amazing. She listened to me. She had a patience. She asked questions. She made eye contact. She had awesome bedside manners. I would see her again if I need to. My PCP is Dr. Patricia Cook, and BW Primary Care is lucky to have Amber as one of the providers. She was very enthusiastic. She had a can-do attitude, and she was very pleasant and friendly. She also answered my mom's questions because my mom came with me. I was walking with the walker. She had a lot of patience. I also really appreciated everything that she did for me. She started me on steroids, and she also explained the next step if it didn't work out. She gave me a referral for orthopedics. So everything worked out.

I LOVE the fact that Ms Phelps looks me in the eye while gathering information about my visit. She is personable and knowledgeable and I feel seen and respected at all times.

The technician that took my b/p temp and did the tests was very personable and friendly.

It was a sick visit and the receptionist was able to fit me in for an appointment, which was appreciated.
