Dr. Benjamin S. Goldstein is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Internal Medicine, with more than a decade of experience caring for patients with complex and serious illnesses. He has served as Medical Director of Palliative Care Services at both Gilchrist and UPMC Western Maryland, where he developed and expanded inpatient, outpatient, and nursing-home palliative care programs and led initiatives focused on quality improvement, symptom management, end-of-life care, and patient and family support.

Dr. Goldstein is also active in professional leadership and serves as Co-Chair of the Palliative Care Committee for the Hospice and Palliative Care Network of Maryland. He graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine and completed fellowships in Geriatric Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. His approach combines clinical expertise and compassionate, individualized care to help patients and families navigate complex medical decisions while preserving quality of life and dignity.
