About Carleen Schwimmer

Carleen Schwimmer, Psy.D., ABPP is a state-licensed clinical psychologist and is board certified in clinical neuropsychology. She sees adults with cognitive concerns and a variety of neurologic disorders, including mild cognitive impairment, dementia, cerebrovascular disease, parkinsonism, and multiple sclerosis, for neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Schwimmer earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology, Northern Virginia. She completed an internship at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the War Related Illness and Injury Study Center at the Washington DC VA Medical Center.

The providers came in on one of the snowiest and iciest days, so that we would not have our tests delayed any further. However, it did take almost 4 months to get this appointment. I'm very happy to have had these 2 providers and look forward to working with them in the future as needed.

I would have liked to have had a hint that this test would be done in the opposite direction from what you practiced for every other number, alphabetical, etc., that you had practiced throughout your life. If I had thought about that, I would have done things faster and more accurately.
