Daniel Walker, M.D., is a board-certified thoracic surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery and interventional pulmonology. He performs minimally invasive lung resections, including robotic procedures for medically complex patients, and has experience in esophageal surgery and the management of pleural disease.

Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut, where he served as administrative chief resident, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he served as administrative chief fellow.

Prior to joining LifeBridge Health, Dr. Walker practiced as a thoracic surgeon with United Health Services in New York and Hartford HealthCare in Connecticut. During his career, he has helped build thoracic surgery services, expanded access to minimally invasive and robotic procedures, and implemented clinical protocols designed to improve postoperative care and patient outcomes. He also served as an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Dr. Walker is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a reviewer for the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care while incorporating advances in surgical technology to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
