Donnell James Jr., PA-C

I had blood drawn from one of the nurses. I told her I was a "hard stick" and despite the fact that she struggled to find a vein, she stuck me twice before calling in "the pro". This was another nurse that was recognized for their ability to draw blood from a difficult patient. She stuck me a third time and after moving it around she found it. My arms are bruised and I look like I was in a fight!

There is a quiet, peaceful atmosphee at the Eldersburg BWPRIMARY office. My visits with my provider, Donnell James PA C are always pleasurable even when there is an issue with my health. He has an excellent bedside manner; he is knowledgeable & firm but also caring and compassionate and I trust him completely. I am also given the ultimate respect by the technician and office staff.

I am so very happy with my provider, Donnell James, and the whole PW primary care is excellent. If they decided to move to California, I'd be seeing them once a month.

PA James always knows about my situations, medications and problems. He is very caring and does not always agree with me but will explain why. He is very thorough. When he is not sure about a symptom or a complaint he will refer me out to an appropriate specialist.

Donnell James needs a raise. He at one point saved the lives of my wife (found kidney cancer) and myself. Sent me to a cardiologist for a heart cath that found widow maker blockage.

I would just like to say Donnell James is a wonderful PA kind and gentle empathetic person. He is our absolute favorite. He knows our whole family exactly what ailments that we have which medications are best. It's very difficult if we can't get an appointment with him someone else has to see us. They do not know our family and the ailments in which medication's are best. We have had to see other providers, but they have given us medication's that we're not helpful which means my kids were sick much longer than needed and ended up having to go back to see Donnell to get the correct medication.That's the problem is getting in to see him. He's been our provider for over 20 years! but it's very difficult to get into see him, but we love him hands-down. He is a wonderful person so much so that my daughter is going to go to medical school to be a PA because he inspired her. He literally is not just only a great doctor, but he's a wonderful human being. We adore him.

I came to the office without an appointment at around 8:45 am. I was told that I would be seen at 10 am and given the option to leave the office and return in time for my 10 am appointment. I appreciate the respect for my personal time. I returned at 9:50am and was called before 10am. This was a good experience.

Donnell and Nikki both are phenomenal and genuinely care about their patients' health. Donnell always takes time to ask critical questions, listens carefully I my questions and concerns about my health, discusses my medications and other options if applicable, makes recommendations essential to my health conditions and refers to excellent specialists when needed. He explains things in terms I understand, makes sure I understand, and just goes above and beyond at every appointment. He and Nikki exceed expectations on all levels, including response times to messages I send through the portal. Even my medications are consistently called in by them the day I request refills. I absolutely love them both, and I adore all of the staff at BW, including the front desk team. I've been a patient for almost 30 years because the entire team has always been good to me. That's important when it comes to entrusting others with our physical, mental and emotional health!

I came in for a blood pressure check that turned into a full-blown appointment. Everyone was amazing (which is saying something - I had four different nurses, my doctor, and an office manager in the room at different times), and it all worked out. The level of support and care the staff members showed each other, as well as me, was wonderful to see.

The orders for my blood test were incomplete. I found out when I got my results from LabCorp and noticed many items were missing. I had to re-test just before my appointment. We did not have time to review the results.

I've been a patient there for many many years. I had an emergency situation where I was bitten by a dog two hours before I just walked in to the doctors office. I had no appointment. Saw someone other than my normal provider. My history is long and a bit complicated. I'm not someone that can be diagnosed and treated based on the norms. I know my body and my past experiences. Some medical professionals seem to think that doing certain things are all it takes to fix me. Couldn't be more untrue. My body acts differently than most and medications sometimes don't work or have the opposite effect. I need people that think outside the box, not in a book.

Donnell James has been my Primary Care for nearly 10 years. He has always been professional and caring. Donnell saw me for a same day, appointment and treated me for two different feminine issues, plus fit me in for EKG to get my daily medications filled (that I hadn't had in weeks). He was beyond helpful and I am so grateful I was able to be seen so quickly for all matters mentioned above, he far exceeded my expectations that day. I referred my ex to Donnell many years ago for this reason and would absolutely refer him and any of the providers I typically see to someone looking for a primary physician. He knew what was needed

I have been coming to BW Primary now Lifebridge and the staff when you first walk in have and always been professional and polite to me. The Doctors, Nurse Practitioner's, Physicians Assistant's and all the assistants have always been wonderful. They are professional, polite and friendly with me.

While waiting to be seen, I could hear in the room next to me, the doctor I was to see, having a personal conversation with the patient, as if they were best friends speaking about personal life for 10 to 15 minutes. Therefore, by the time he came to my room, he was 15 minutes late and barely spent 5 minutes with me. Only wanted to concern himself with the main reason I was there, nothing about any other issues I might have been having, that might have related to my issue.
