Donnell James, PA-C

Donnell is honestly one of the reasons I continue to maintain healthy habits. He has always been an advocate for me and treats me like a person in which he is invested. I am thankful to have him as my healthcare professional.

I absolutely enjoy seeing everyone when I come in for a wellness check or a checkup. Everyone is very polite, professional and knowledgeable. This is from the front desk, the aides and NP, PA or Dr. I have been coming here decades and will continue for many more. The Eldersburg location is fantastic!

Donnell explained everything to me in a way I understood, answered my questions, and provided information for future care.

My provider is simply the best.

My Provider and his staff is always very friendly and professional. I have never had a disappointing moment in the entire team truly set the bar of what I now expect going to other offices. They are truly a excellent group of individuals.

It was fine, though there was a patient before me that took quite some time, and I waited after the nurse brought me back at the start for about 45 minutes.

I was sick with a severe sinus infection and chest congestion. My ENT was unavailable until the following week. Donnell's staff got me in the next day. I really love Donnell, he's always very thorough and always reviews my previous history. I didn't even need to tell him that I have chronic sinus infections. He tested me for other illnesses just in case. All were negative as he expected and he prescribed an extended antibiotic for me and something to relieve my cough. I know I can always trust his judgment. The staff were all great and got me checked in quickly and were so nice to me. Thanks BW, you are appreciated.

Setting up an appointment was very good. Who it was with, which provider was different. My original provider did not have me. I had a new PA, which I wasn't sent for or advised of. Okay. Thank you. Have a good day.

I appreciate all the reminders about when my appointment is. I didn't appreciate walking in with my health care provider, although he didn't make me wait too long.

Everything thing was fine

I travel 70 miles each way to be seen by Donnell James as my PCP. I will not change providers even tho I moved out of the area.

I no longer have insurance so they held a credit card till after my appointment. I was given a paper with what my treatment was and paid the amount they told me. Now I'm getting an additional bill, there were no test done, so what was on that paper is all I should owe.

Hi, I thought Donelle James's assistant was not very personable. I didn't really care for her a lot. It's just her attitude. I didn't think her attitude was really good and she wasn't very friendly and she wasn't very personable. And I missed Donelle James's other assistant that he had. She was very nice. This one, not so much.

This doc was new to me. He listened to all I had to say and took the time to bring up visuals to help us both understand the pain I am experiencing. He encouraged me to continue the course I am taking with a specialist to find answers. He made me feel valued.

I had to wait 35 minutes in the waiting room before the provider came in. No one checked on me during that time. This is unacceptable to me! It has happened before too. Also, when the provider came in he was very very rushed with me... again unacceptable.

I still have gotten my results back as of today when told then they be read within 24 hrs

It would be nice during a physical exam to be able to ask the provider about things that were going on without extra charges. I feel like that's typically what yearly physicals are for, is to talk about things that's going on and not have an extra charge. So that would be my biggest complaint.

I was treated with respect, they listened to my concerns. This is a wonderful practice

I needed a last minute sick appointment and was seen within a couple hours. My medication was ordered right away. Everyone was helpful and professional

I had blood drawn from one of the nurses. I told her I was a "hard stick" and despite the fact that she struggled to find a vein, she stuck me twice before calling in "the pro". This was another nurse that was recognized for their ability to draw blood from a difficult patient. She stuck me a third time and after moving it around she found it. My arms are bruised and I look like I was in a fight!

There is a quiet, peaceful atmosphee at the Eldersburg BWPRIMARY office. My visits with my provider, Donnell James PA C are always pleasurable even when there is an issue with my health. He has an excellent bedside manner; he is knowledgeable & firm but also caring and compassionate and I trust him completely. I am also given the ultimate respect by the technician and office staff.

PA James always knows about my situations, medications and problems. He is very caring and does not always agree with me but will explain why. He is very thorough. When he is not sure about a symptom or a complaint he will refer me out to an appropriate specialist.

Donnell James needs a raise. He at one point saved the lives of my wife (found kidney cancer) and myself. Sent me to a cardiologist for a heart cath that found widow maker blockage.

Dr Donnell James is so relatable and makes it easy to be open and honest. He makes sure I understand why things are happening, what to expect, and how to prevent future issues. I have already referred friends and will continue to do so.

I would just like to say Donnell James is a wonderful PA kind and gentle empathetic person. He is our absolute favorite. He knows our whole family exactly what ailments that we have which medications are best. It's very difficult if we can't get an appointment with him someone else has to see us. They do not know our family and the ailments in which medication's are best. We have had to see other providers, but they have given us medication's that we're not helpful which means my kids were sick much longer than needed and ended up having to go back to see Donnell to get the correct medication.That's the problem is getting in to see him. He's been our provider for over 20 years! but it's very difficult to get into see him, but we love him hands-down. He is a wonderful person so much so that my daughter is going to go to medical school to be a PA because he inspired her. He literally is not just only a great doctor, but he's a wonderful human being. We adore him.

I came to the office without an appointment at around 8:45 am. I was told that I would be seen at 10 am and given the option to leave the office and return in time for my 10 am appointment. I appreciate the respect for my personal time. I returned at 9:50am and was called before 10am. This was a good experience.

Donnell and Nikki both are phenomenal and genuinely care about their patients' health. Donnell always takes time to ask critical questions, listens carefully I my questions and concerns about my health, discusses my medications and other options if applicable, makes recommendations essential to my health conditions and refers to excellent specialists when needed. He explains things in terms I understand, makes sure I understand, and just goes above and beyond at every appointment. He and Nikki exceed expectations on all levels, including response times to messages I send through the portal. Even my medications are consistently called in by them the day I request refills. I absolutely love them both, and I adore all of the staff at BW, including the front desk team. I've been a patient for almost 30 years because the entire team has always been good to me. That's important when it comes to entrusting others with our physical, mental and emotional health!
