Ernest Tsao, MD

Dr. Tsao earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency program at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He continued his training at Stony Brook with a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Tsao is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Tsao is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His research on gastrointestinal disorders has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he is the recipient of several academic awards and honors. Dr. Tsao's professional interests include colorectal cancer, upper digestive tract cancer, esophageal disorders, interventional biliary endoscopy and hepatology.
