Provider was extremely late to seeing me; he did not document my loss of sensation I've been experiencing (my biggest concern); only spoke of surgery cons even though this same provider was willing to perform surgery on me a week or so before this appt; he said that I "looked better" during my appt even though he had never actually seen me in person before; he was very certain I should get a book about chronic pain. This provider was pleasant with good bedside manner, but he does not seem confident in my treatment plan. He said he would leave the decision up to me (surgery vs another pain injection). I left my appt very confused and unsure of what to do moving forward.

I arrived on time, 10am, but waited 50 minutes to see Dr. Souslian. All in all I was in the exam room for 2 & 1/2 hours. Way too long. Dr Souslian took a photo of me "for my chart", I was taken aback, have never had a physician take my photo. Uncomfortable.

I had to wait a long while! Then the doctor seemed rushed. I left not fully understanding why I was given a referral to another neurologist for"rehabilitation" in addition to my return appointment! The Physician Assistant who saw me and my son who accompanied me before the doctor was patient and did not appear so rushed.

Amazing knowledge and explanation which I have not found with anyone about my medical conditions and SI joint condition in evaluation together. I could have listened and asked more but will go forward with all his suggestions before decisions are made:

The appointment did not start on time, but I completely understood. Dr. Souslian had an emergency with a patient that broke her neck. If I was that patient, then I would want his attention too! I think that everything with my situation was complicated but Dr. Souslian made it all easy to understand in a short amount of time. Very happy with the PA as well and the front office staff.

I can't thank Dr. Souslian and his PAC, Jason Tharpe, enough for the time they took to explain and answer my questions. I have never had a surgeon (dealing with my spine) take the time to explain things the way both Dr. Souslian and Jason Tharpe did. I walked out of my appt with Dr. Souslian, feeling more heard than I have in a very long time and had things not only explained to me but explained in a way that made sense about my spine. He did more and answered more in a first visit than I have received since my spine surgery elsewhere in late 2021. Thank you for finding what you did. I know there are no guarantees, but I feel hopeful now and that means so much. I feel like finally have a team of providers that truly care and I can trust. If I could give Dr. Souslian greater than the scores allowed by this survey, I would. Every staff member I had interaction with at this office was very professional, pleasant, and accommodating. Thank you so very much!

By being well prepared, he was able to offer the best way to proceed with my back issues. The next day, I received an e-mail on my "way ahead". I liked is easy speaking manner and really listened to my concerns and answered my questions & provided me with selected YouTube videos for further education. He also offered to help my wife who has severe back issues too. She was so impressed and liked his approach to me that she made an appointment for a consultation in July 2025.
