Hayley Hoffman, CNM

Hayley Hoffman, MSN,CNM, FACNM, IBCLC, is a certified nurse midwife and lactation consultant. Hayley has been a Midwife since 2014, practicing full scope Midwifery. She provides care to women throughout their lives, from puberty through menopause. She provides prenatal care, and specifically enjoys supporting families during the labor and birth process and through the postpartum period. She pursued board certification in Lactation in 2017 and became certified as an IBCLC, and has since dedicated herself to helping patients overcome feeding challenges. As a CNM, IBCLC, she has a unique scope that allows her to diagnose, treat, and refer, both the mother and the baby. She was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives, an honor granted to Midwives who have reached specific milestones in their career. She is the former Secretary of the Maryland Affiliate of ACNM, and is a founding and current member of the Midwives in Lactation Committee of ACNM - a committee of Midwives focused on helping establish more Midwifery focused education around Lactation.
She recently completed training to get her certified in Perinatal Mental Health.
Her special interests include tethered oral tissues in the newborn, perinatal mood disorders, diabetes in pregnancy and providing fourth trimester support.
Her current research is on insulin resistance and its impact on maternal milk supply. She is also currently pursuing a clinical fellowship in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine.
Outside of work, Hayley enjoys spending time with her three children, gardening, crafting, cooking and being outdoors.
