Professional Statement
Katherine Garbow, D.O., is a hematologist and medical oncologist with a special interest in breast cancer. She completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Maryland after completing her internal medicine residency at MedStar Health Baltimore. She earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is board certified in internal medicine.
A Baltimore native, Dr. Garbow is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based cancer care to the community she calls home. Before specializing in oncology, she practiced as an internist for four years and served as associate program director for an internal medicine residency program. She was also selected to serve as chief resident.
Outside of work, Dr. Garbow enjoys swimming, reading, hiking and attending theater productions and musicals.
