I waited an hour for the appointment to be taken back. I was not seen by the provider I was expecting to see. The appointment was made six months in advance, and no one called me to tell me that the provider I expected to see was not there. It was a horrible experience from beginning to end.

the new building is beautiful, but NOT set up to meet the needs of frail cancer patients. It is impossible to call an Uber or Lyft as the entrance is on Greenspring Ave, but listed in GPS as on North Belvedere. You have to take a shuttle to the hospital main entrance to meet an Uber or Lyft. There isn't even a place to sit outside near where the shuttle stops (there are 2 seats further away. Once inside, there is a lot of walking necessary. You enter the building on Parking level 1 even from the front door, then have to take an elevator up to the ground floor (which is not really the ground floor) to register, then take the elevator again to your appointment. Registration should be on the floor near where you enter the building and the floor where you enter from outside should be called the ground floor. The building has 2 different names which is confusing. (Lapidus and Weinman). This building needs its own separate address on Greenspring to reflect the entrance patients and their families use.

I was seen with a different provider. she told me to come back in 6 months when I went to register the clerk was not at all welcoming. she told me to come back if I needed to. I was confused, she said she asked doctor and the doctor told her the same thing. I am confused. I never got treated this way before the new building. I could not see over the computer to talk to her. the provider I saw was my regular docter. I am so confused.

The time waiting was a little longer than I thought to see the provider. Maybe they were busy, but the service was good.

I was referred to Carroll County Hospital by my Primary Care Doctor. I was dehydrated, my kidney function was off and I was suffering from either a Viral or Bacterial Infection in my stomach. I was seen by an ER Nurse and Technician who drew blood and then added an IV. I was given morphine for pain. I spent the evening in the ER in a bed and was later moved into a private room in the hospital. I was given a steady stream of antibiotics and glucose for 3 days until the infection subsided. I spoke with the surgical doctor who kept tabs on my bloodwork until he was satisfied that I did not need surgery. All through this event the staff was wonderful and the nurses exceptional.

This was my first visit to the new cancer center. Everyone was most helpful in showing me where to go. More signs for parking entrance would be helpful as I had to make a u turn when I missed it

As always, my experience was beyond talking about it was so great. My doctors knew me seemed like better than I knew myself. They hugged me when they walk in the door and smile. When they see me all that does is make me feel more about my forthcoming appointment. And how they care about me internally?

There were extenuating circumstances to this particular visit. I was just diagnosed with a recurrence of ovarian cancer. It would have been helpful to have been seen perhaps a little earlier. My appointment was actually canceled and rescheduled.
