Laura Eskander, MD

Laura Eskander, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in general and emergency psychiatry. With 15 years of experience, she treats a range of conditions, including mood, psychotic, adjustment and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Eskander earned her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. In 2023, she received the Edelstein Award, a physician humanitarian honor recognizing a psychiatrist selected by peers and staff.

“I chose psychiatry because it uniquely integrates biological medicine with a deep understanding of human psychology to treat the whole person. No two patients are alike, and everyone has their own unique story and struggle. It is a privilege to be part of each individual’s recovery.”

Outside of work, Dr. Eskander enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and planning events with friends and family.
