Maxine Wallen-Lewis, MSN, FNP-BC brings over 32 years of nursing experience to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner in family practice, including more than 20 years in critical care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She also holds Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). 

Her graduate-level practicum experience included providing patient-centered care across the lifespan, preparing her to care for individuals and families of all ages. Maxine is passionate about delivering compassionate, collaborative care that focuses on prevention, education, and individualized treatment. She believes healthcare is a partnership with her patients, empowering them to make informed decisions and achieve their best possible health.

    My appt. was scheduled for 1 p.m. When I arrived at 12:47 ( I had been told to arrive 15 mins. early) there was no one present. After about 10 mins., someone came out and advised me that everyone was in a meeting. At approximately. 1:40, I was called to the front desk. I had completed a full echeck-in online. I was handed a bunch of forms, and told to fill them out. I advised them that the echeck-in said to advise office staff that I had completed everything online. I was told that didn't matter to her, and to fill out the forms. I had the forms about 4 mins. when I was called to the examining room. I was very happy with the provider. When I returned to check out, I was asked a bunch of questions about follow-up, labs, etc. She appeared to have no information about the visit that had just taken place. She made no effort to ask the provider, and, told me to call back at the end of the week to see if my lab orders were in rhe portal or I needed to drive the 45 mins. from my home to pick them up. I think it would have been a reasonable and relatively simple task to get up and simply ask the provider rather than place burden on a patient. Again, I was very pleased with the provider. The overall grade for the administrative side of things was a D.

    Maxine was not prepared and did not listen to me as I answered her questions about the series of events that lead me to the post partum hypertension I experienced (the reason for my visit). She was not comfortable and focused on topics unrelated to my issue and therefore was not able to reasonably handle my situation. No disrespect but I did not feel that she was competent during my visit.

    Maxine Wallen-Lewis was super professional and friendly! I am very pleased with her! The new front desk staff were much more professional and friendly too unlike the previous staff. Due to the friendliness, mindfulness and professionalism of the new staff i will most definitely continue to be a patient at this location! Thank you for everything you do for me!

    Maxine was amazing. She made sure she went through my entire history with me. Asked great questions and made me feel as if she really cared. I have always felt respected and appreciated at this office. I will be looking forward to a few more years as well.
