Muleta D Tafa, MD, MPH is a board-certified physician specializing in critical care and pulmonology. Dr. Tafa earned his medical degree from the Jimma University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Bronx, New York and a family and community medicine residency at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Tafa completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Tafa has a special interest in pulmonary vascular disease, interstitial lung disease and lung neoplasm. His research and quality improvement efforts have focused on the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) and hemodynamic monitoring in shock.

Dr. Park and Tafa. Dr. Park was very informative about my chest x-ray results. Dr. Tafa, I saw, and he was very, very informative and giving me lots of information that I needed for my issues, my medical issues I needed. My recent visit to see Dr. Muleta Tafa was a completely positive experience! From the front desk staff to the MA, Kenda, to Dr. Tafa, everyone was very pleasant, professional and thorough. Dr, Tafa was a delight! His knowledge was impressive and the time and care he took to explain my CT scan results and any next steps was greatly appreciated. I would totally recommend Dr. Tafa and this practice to anyone needing pulmonary care!
