Niloofar Hakakian, MD

Niloofar Hakakian, M.D., is a board-certified radiologist with advanced expertise in breast and body imaging. 

Dr. Hakakian earned her medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. She subsequently completed a one-year clinical internship, followed by a four-year residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her residency, she gained comprehensive training across all major imaging modalities and developed a particular interest in women’s imaging and complex body imaging.

To further refine her expertise, Dr. Hakakian pursued two years of advanced fellowship training in body and breast imaging at Johns Hopkins Hospital. At Johns Hopkins, she received subspecialty training in breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures. Her body imaging training included advanced CT and MRI interpretation of the abdomen and pelvis, with a focus on oncologic imaging and multidisciplinary care.

Dr. Hakakian is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is an active member of several leading professional organizations, including the American College of Radiology, the Society of Breast Imaging, and the Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Hakakian is known for her collaborative approach to care and works closely with referring clinicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely management. She is deeply committed to compassionate patient care, clear communication, and delivering the highest standard of radiologic services and care to support optimal patient outcomes.
