Ruchira Thakor, MD

Dr. Thakor really listens to my health concerns and asks follow-up questions based on what I say and what I do not say. Her recommendations to improve my well-being are not over the top. She has a wonderful compassion mixed with medical advice that makes me take a serious approach to developing habits that will help me improve my health. I also like that I can talk to her about changes occurring as I age without it being an awkward conversation. In summary, Dr. Thakor is a wonderful doctor!!!

Dr. Thakor has been my primary care physician for almost 30 years, if not longer, and has always been very cordial. Always tried to address my needs physically, mentally, however I might be feeling on that particular day and why I'm in the office for that day. So we have a relationship beyond doctor almost. And I don't know what I'll do if she leaves. I'm looking for new doctors these days. It's not fun. So hopefully she will stay as long as she can. I really appreciate her and I appreciate her kindness and her time to talk with me about whatever I'm in the office for.

Everyone was absolutely positively polite. I got waited on immediately. The appointment was easy to make. All I did was get a flu shot. That's why you got no to some of the answers because it was not necessary. All I was getting was a flu shot. Thank you. And I got it, and she did nice, quickly, and she was very sweet about it. That's it.

The new call center process is horrible. It is far from patient-friendly. I have no way to connect with my providers who I have a 30 year relationship with, except by portal. Patients with medical issues should be able to speak with medical staff more easily

Its great to see my own Primary doctor. A selected back up doctor should assist with your current tteatment plan without a hard time.

As always facility was clean and inviting. Lab technician was not available to do lab work at center. Had to go to another site to have lab work done. I appreciate the staff at this center and am on first name basis with most for years.

She explained my post surgery recovery routine in detail and told me what to expect better than my surgeon was able to do. I love my doctor. The front desk staff definitely need to be trained or retrained. They are not very professional or friendly and can definitely improve in this area. They do not make eye contact with you when you approach the window nor respond when you say good morning. If they are on the phone, a simple glance and nod to acknowledge you is not too much to ask. I have been seeing my provider for almost 30 years and the front office staff or any other member have always been professional and courteous. It's almost impossible to get through to make an appointment. My provider suggested I make my next appointment before I leave. I was unable to do so because the person that makes the appointment said system was down and she had been calling IT. She complained about this the entire time I was waiting to be seen and even after my appointment was over. It was not necessary for her to voice her frustration so loudly. I have informed my doctor that I'm only still coming to this facility because of her and her assistant. I will definitely look for a new provider and location when she decides to leave.

I'm always very pleased with my visits with doctor Thakor and her assistant. I never feel rushed and both Dr. Thakor and her assistant, Malaka, always take an interest in what's going on with me and answer any concerns or questions I might have.

I am very unhappy with the change in the call center. I have always been able to call to the facility for whatever my needs might be. The call center is not helpful. For this reason, I am considering looking for another facility. Doctors and staff should be approachable. You have developed a very sterile system.
