Sybil Pentsil, MD/MPH

Sybil Pentsil, MD, MPH, is a pediatric hospitalist at Sinai Hospital and Carroll Hospital Center, where she provides compassionate care to children and adolescents admitted to the hospital. Her clinical practice is rooted in empathy and empowerment, emphasizing strong connections with the families she serves. For Dr. Pentsil, caring for patients is both a privilege and an honor.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Pentsil serves as the chief diversity officer at LifeBridge Health, reflecting her dedication to advancing health equity and creating inclusive healthcare environments. Her professional interests also include patient safety, global health and medical education, which guide her efforts to improve outcomes for patients and communities alike.

Dr. Pentsil earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Born in New York and raised in Ghana, West Africa, Dr. Pentsil loves spend time with friends and family all over the world. When she’s not traveling, she is very involved in her local church and activities in the community.
